Our story

Built on love. Driven by purpose.

Tied Together Care was born from a simple truth: no one should face cancer alone. We've spent three years turning that belief into action.

How we began

A diagnosis that sparked a movement.

In 2024, our founder Mia Soto's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at 48. She had a loving family and good doctors — but she quickly discovered how isolating the journey could be. The practical burdens piled up: rides to chemo, meals for her kids, someone to sit with her during infusions.

What she needed most wasn't just medical care. It was community. It was someone who understood. So while her mother was in treatment, she started Tied Together Care out of her living room with six volunteers and a folding table.

Today, we serve thousands of patients, survivors, and caregivers across our region — and the mission is exactly the same as it was on day one.

What we believe

Our mission & values.

To walk alongside every person touched by cancer — offering practical help, emotional support, and the unshakeable reminder that they are not alone.

What guides us

Our core values.

Compassion first

Every interaction begins with empathy. We meet people where they are, without judgment.

Community over isolation

Healing happens together. We build spaces where people find belonging and genuine connection.

Dignity always

We honor the full humanity of every person we serve — their strength, their grief, and their hope.

Radical generosity

We give freely — of time, resources, and presence — because that's what love looks like in action.

The people behind the mission

Our leadership team.
